Perfectly situated on a secluded 32-acre wilderness playground, Talus Rock is offered in its entirety, or by the room, and comfortably sleeps 1 to 24 guests.

Full of whimsical surprises and a tasteful array of treasures from 6 continents, Talus Rock Retreat has 3 fully-equipped kitchens, Brazilian tigerwood decks, heated floors, stunning mosaics, copper tin ceilings, tree shower, waterfall, fish-stocked pond, and a 4th floor tower that frames the endless, unparalleled 270 degree views of Lake Pend Oreille and the spectacular Cabinet Mountains.

Bruce and Heather Pedersen are the original visionaries and designers of Talus Rock Retreat. Her artistic fingerprints are all over the interiors and exteriors, and his architectural foundations are underneath. THE STORY OF TALUS ROCK RETREAT

When we married back 1994, we vowed that if we ever became financially blessed, we’d build something to give back to God and serve those who serve others. After 16+ years of scrimping, saving, sacrificing, risking, bootstrapping and blood sweat and tears, Talus Rock Retreat was planned and built over a 4-year period with everything we had! To those investing their lives in service work (soldiers, nurses, social workers, missionaries, pastors, teachers), this Retreat is our love letter to you. The bronze plaque that rests on our kitchen counter says it best:
